Mark Cerché – Chairman
Mark is a Consultant with Allens, having been a Partner at Allens specialising in superannuation and financial services law for more than 30 years.
He has been Chair of CCSL since its formation and is Chair of a number of companies that act as trustee of trusts. He is a former chair, and current member of the Executive of the Legal Practice Section of the Law Council of Australian and of the Superannuation Committee of the Law Council of Australia.
Mark is Chair of the Corporate Superannuation Association, a Member of the Advisory Council of the Superannuation Complaints Tribunal and is also a Member of the International Pension & Employee Benefits Lawyers Association.
He has been a Member of the Board of Allens and chairs and is a director of a number of private trustee companies.
Murray Jones – Director
Murray has worked within the financial services industry for over 20 years. He has provided advice on corporate governance and strategic planning issues to institutions; acted as an independent expert under ASIC enforceable undertakings; chaired audit risk & compliance committees; been appointed as a responsible manager for a number of AFS Licence holders spanning listed and unlisted fund managers and financial advisory businesses.
He is currently Managing Director of Compliance & Risk Services Pty Ltd which has acted for over 150 financial institutions in establishing and supporting financial services businesses. His company has also developed a web based software solution, CRSCertus, which is used by a number of prominent financial institutions to manage their risk and compliance obligations.
Murray’s expertise spans retail and wholesale funds management, securities operations, superannuation, insurance, corporate advisory and financial planning.
Vincent Parrott – Executive Director
Vincent is Managing Director of the Diversa Group and Diversa Trustees Executive Director responsible for all business operations. Vincent has over 25 years’ experience in the financial services industry. He has worked in leadership roles within the institutional funds management sector for AMP, SBC (now UBS Global Asset Management), BT Funds Management and Aberdeen Asset Management.
In 2001 he co-founded boutique asset manager, Souls Funds Management where he served as Managing Director from 2001 to 2008. Through his career he has had experience in investment research and portfolio management, superannuation, sales and marketing, business operations, and general management.
Luke Barrett – Director (Diversa Trustees only)
Luke Barrett has over 17 years’ experience in the financial services industry, working with the trustees and directors of some of Australia’s leading superannuation funds and investment managers on major legal, risk and governance projects.
In that time, he has been involved in establishing, merging and restructuring a number of superannuation funds and investment products and has been deeply involved in the selection and appointment of major service providers, such as custodians, administrators and investment managers. Other areas of expertise include investment governance, investment selection and dispute resolution.
Luke is an active participant in the superannuation industry and is currently the Deputy Chair of the Law Council of Australia’s Superannuation Committee, which is a role that sees him proactively involved in the regulatory reform process, consulting with Government, Treasury and regulators.
Luke also leads the team responsible for providing risk and legal advice to UniSuper’s investment business and has previously held senior legal positions with leading law firm Allens Linklaters and with Vanguard Investments, one of the world’s largest fund managers.
He regularly speaks at industry conferences and has given evidence in Parliament on legal issues affecting the financial services and superannuation industries.
