Diversa Board
Vin served as a non-executive director on the PayPal Australia Board from 2009 to 2016 and was Chairman of PayPal’s Audit & Risk Committee between 2010 and 2016. A former investment and consumer banker, he was a Partner at HSW Capital from 2009 to 2010 and held various senior positions at Standard Chartered Bank from 1991 to 2008.
Vin is a fellow of FINSIA and a member of the Institute of Company Directors. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from George Washington University and a Master of Business Administration from Columbia University.
Vin is an Independent Director on the Diversa and CCSL Boards. He also chairs the Investment Committee and is a member of the Remuneration & Nominations Committee and Audit and Compliance Committee.
Fiona McNabb is an experienced non-executive director with over 25 years of corporate experience in actuarial consulting, financial markets, derivatives pricing and trading, treasury, investments, risk management, compliance and governance.
Fiona has experience as a director in a wide range of industries, including agriculture, forestry, health, education, sport, superannuation and investments. Fiona is also a Senior Industry Fellow in the Department of Banking & Finance at Monash University where she currently lectures in investment banking and ethics. She has a Bachelor of Science (mathematics), is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, a Senior Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia, a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Superannuation Trustees and is RG146 compliant for superannuation.
Fiona is currently an independent director of Diversa and CCSL. Fiona chairs the Audit and Compliance Committee and is also a member of the Investment Committee.
Andrew Peterson is an Executive Director and CEO of Diversa and CCSL and is also a member of the Investment Committee and Risk and Members Best Interest Committee.
Andrew brings more than 25 years’ experience in the financial services industry, including roles with Required Financial Services, Aviva Investors / Antares Equities, Timbercorp and IOOF.
With a focus on asset management, including executive leadership, sales, research, compliance, and product development across the retail and wholesale sectors, he has forged a reputation as a commercially-focused, results driven, and strategic executive.
Sue has had a distinguished career in law, corporate finance, IT and financial services. She is an experienced company director and audit and risk committee chair.
During the 1990s, Sue established and grew FlexiPlan Australia (subsequently MasterKey Custom), a successful investment administration platform sold later to MLC. Sourcing strategic partners, growing administered funds, Sue’s achievements saw her acknowledged as an industry leader by the financial planning community and was at the forefront of the FinTech market.
Sue currently serves on a number of listed boards including; Nuix Limited; Cash Converters Limited; Maggie Beer Holdings Limited; and Fitzroy River Holdings Limited.
Sue brings strong commercial, technology, compliance and regulatory skills and background to her board positions. Sue is also a Senior Executive Coach at Foresight Global Coaching, working with multinational c-suite executives.
Sue is a director on the Diversa and CCSL Boards. She also chairs the Remuneration and Nominations Committee and is a member of the Risk and Members Best Interest Committee.
Mark Walter is an experienced commercial lawyer and executive with more than 30 years of experience in the legal profession as a lawyer, director and executive. Mark has extensive experience in consumer and regulatory law, financial services and commercial litigation in all jurisdictions. Mark was a Partner of Australia’s leading Plaintiff law firm for over 20 years before founding his own Commercial Law firm in 2021. Mark is known for being strategic, practical and client focussed.
Mark holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Melbourne and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Marks joined the Boards of Diversa Trustees Limited and CCSL Limited in June 2023. He is the Chair of the Risk and Members Best Interests Committee and a member of the Audit and Compliance Committee and Remuneration and Nominations Committee.
Client Management
Josh has had almost 20 years’ experience in the superannuation industry and has been with the Trustee since 2007. Josh has held a leadership role since 2018, leading a team of Account Executives focused on driving better member outcomes for members of high growth platform clients. Josh is highly experienced in superannuation wrap platforms, product management, client service management, fund administration, and investment governance. Josh holds a Bachelor of Commerce/Arts Marketing and Psychology degree from Deakin University.
Simon has worked in the superannuation industry for 21 years and is highly experienced in superannuation operations and administration. He has extensive hands-on knowledge of highly complex corporate superannuation funds, insurance funds, and master trusts.
Simon has been with the Trustee since 2006 and has been closely involved with the onboarding of a number of superannuation funds and managing a multitude of different service providers to the superannuation industry. Simon holds a Certificate IV in Human Resources and has completed his RG146 in Superannuation.
Robert has worked in the superannuation industry for 14 years and has vast experience across both superannuation administration and trustee services. During Robert’s time at Diversa Trustees Limited he has worked on a broad range of superannuation funds, including corporate funds, risk only insurance funds, defined benefit funds, wrap platform funds, and new start-up funds.
Robert specialises in establishing new superannuation funds, product management, fund administration, and relationship management.
Robert holds a Diploma in Sport and has completed his RG146 in Superannuation.
Andrew has in excess of 15 years experience in the superannuation industry and has been with the Trustee since 2015. Coming to the Trustee from an administration background, in his role as an Account Executive, Andrew has been involved in a range of different superannuation funds, from retail through to platform operation. He has a broad range of experience across various investment and insurance offerings. Andrew holds a Bachelor of Business Management degree and has completed his RG146 in superannuation.
Mark has over 28 years of experience in the superannuation industry working in trustee services, superannuation administration and project management. He has a deep understanding on master trusts and corporate superannuation funds and has held many senior roles in the past.
He joined the Account Executive team in 2021 and is focused on driving compliance, managing superannuation operations and delivering member outcomes.
Mark has completed his RG146 in Superannuation.
Frank has 20 years’ experience in the superannuation industry and has been with the Trustee since 2018. Frank has held senior finance roles in superannuation funds and financial institutions and has extensive experience in financial reporting and accounting operations management.
Frank oversees the funds’ financial and statutory reporting, tax lodgement, and APRA reporting. Frank holds a Bachelor of Business and a Masters in Finance and Accounting. He is a member of the Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand.
Melanie has worked in the superannuation industry for over 35 years and is highly experienced in superannuation operations and administration. She has extensive knowledge of complex corporate superannuation funds and spent the last decade in a project management role, managing projects across multiple funds and clients. Melanie has been with the Trustee since January 2022 in a project management capacity.
Jen has over 20 years’ experience in the superannuation industry and joined the Trustee in early 2023 as a Senior Manager in the Office of the Superannuation Trustee. Jen has held senior roles in superannuation funds and has extensive experience in compliance and superannuation administration. Focused on driving better member outcomes and the implementation of Diversa’s Retirement Income Strategy, Jen was recently appointed as the Head of Member Outcomes.
Jen holds a Bachelor of Applied Finance from University of South Australia and a Diploma of Superannuation.
Office of Superannuation Trustees
With a career of just over 20 years dedicated to financial services, Johanna has worked across the wealth management, banking and payments industries. A specialist in risk and compliance, Johanna spent a number of years working for the prudential regulator and has proven experience in innovating and implementing strong control frameworks across organisations. With previous experience in the fintech space, Johanna is particularly interested in how the use of technology can produce effective solutions for the business and in turn, its customers.
Johanna holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Melbourne University in Commerce and Arts, a Diploma of Financial Services, and a Diploma of Management.
Tim is the Senior Risk and Compliance Manager for the Office of the Superannuation Trustee. He has over 30 years experience in the provision of compliance and risk advice within the financial services industry.
His extensive experience in compliance and risk has focused on the provision of strategic initiatives, privacy and anti-money laundering (AML) counter-terrorism financing (CTF) Frameworks, and regulatory and legislative change. He has built positive and strong relationships with regulators and is a subject matter expert in AML/CTF.
Reporting to and working closely with Board members, Tim has worked with several financial services providers including VicSuper / Aware Super, IOOF, and Aviva. He now provides his knowledge to Diversa clients to ensure that their compliance is to the highest levels required.
He is a Fellow of the International Compliance Association.
Andrew has over 10 years’ experience in financial services, including almost 5 years working in risk and compliance in superannuation. Andrew started his career working in unit pricing in the United Kingdom (Scotland). He then went on to work at Equity Trustees for almost 9 years in risk and compliance roles in superannuation, operations and technology.
Andrew holds a Bachelor of Accounting and Finance degree and has completed his RG146 qualification in superannuation.
His role is to promote and support sound risk and compliance management practices across the Trustee and funds. He is passionate about using risk and compliance management as a value-add tool to improve outcomes for members and other stakeholders.
Investment Oversight
Rachel has over 30 years’ experience in the financial services industry across investment banking, funds management, and financial advice, with a focus on investment research and compliance. She has held senior leadership positions as well as being the company secretary of a listed company. Rachel is also the Company Secretary for Diversa Trustees Ltd, CCSL Pty Ltd, Raritan River Holdings Pty Ltd and Diversa Holdco Pty Ltd.
Rachel holds a Bachelor of Economics, a Master of Economics, a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment, and a Graduate Diploma of Applied Corporate Governance.
Elizabeth has over 15 years’ experience in the investment and superannuation industry across a number of research and investment roles.
Elizabeth has been with the Trustee since 2017 and been closely involved with the onboarding of a number of superannuation funds and products, as well as managing the investments and investment governance framework of the Trustee.
Elizabeth holds a Master of Professional Accounting, Bachelor of Business (International Trade & Marketing), Advanced Diploma of Financial Services (Financial Planning), Diploma in Marketing Research and Certificate IV in Financial Services (General Insurance).
Trustee Services
Daniel has 20 years’ experience in the superannuation industry and has been with the Trustee since 2019. Daniel currently leads the Trustee Services team and is an Account Executive for a portfolio of clients. Daniel is highly experienced in superannuation fund administration, complex corporate superannuation funds, and managing operations teams. Daniel holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Monash University and an ASFA Diploma of Superannuation.
Peter has worked in the superannuation industry for over 30 years and is highly experienced in superannuation operations and administration. He has extensive knowledge of complex corporate superannuation funds, and spent the last decade in a project management role within Online Services. Peter has been with the Trustee since January 2019 as an Account Executive, managing relationships across various funds.
Arlene has worked in the superannuation industry for just over 33 years and joined the Trustee in October 2019. Arlene has extensive experience in superannuation administration services specifically in corporate, industry and defined benefit superannuation funds and with insurance and claims management. Arlene is part of the Trustee Services team and looks after a portfolio of funds. Arlene has completed her RG146 in Superannuation.
Jesmond has worked in the superannuation industry for 21 years and is highly experienced in superannuation operations and administration with a Senior Technical Specialist knowledge of highly complex corporate superannuation funds. Jesmond also is highly experienced in particular with defined benefit funds as well as fund administration. Jesmond holds a Bachelor of Marketing degree from Victoria University.
Rachael has worked in the superannuation industry for 19 years and joined the Trustee in 2019. Rachael has extensive experience in superannuation administration, specifically in corporate and defined benefit superannuation funds. Rachael is part of the Trustee Services team and looks after a portfolio of funds. Rachael has completed her RG146 in Superannuation and holds a Bachelor of Science from Monash University.
Vlad has worked in the superannuation industry for more than 20 years and is highly experienced in superannuation industry operations and administration, with strong technical knowledge of highly complex corporate superannuation funds and defined benefit schemes. He has been with the Trustee since 2023. Vlad is currently a member of the Trustee Services Team at Diversa. Vlad holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Melbourne.
Trustee Finance
Inga has an extensive experience in the superannuation with a wealth of strategic and operational knowledge. As a finance professional her expertise are wide ranging in fund accounting, unit pricing, tax and investment governance.
Inga has been with the Trustee since 2013 and has been closely involved with the onboarding of superannuation funds. She works closely with administration service providers with a focus on delivering better member outcomes. Inga holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from University of South Australia.
Evelyn has been with the Trustee since 2020 as a Financial Accountant. Before joining the Trustee, she worked in a Public Practice accounting firm and is highly experienced in financial reporting.
Evelyn holds a Bachelor of Computer Science and Technology and Masters in Finance and Accounting from The University of Sydney.
Risk & Compliance
Warren joined Diversa in 2021 and has over 15 years of experience in the financial services and superannuation industry with a focus in risk and compliance. Warren’s approach to risk and compliance is both practical and commercial as his expertise also extends to investments, business development, and operations, having worked in these roles during the earlier parts of his career.
Warren holds a double Bachelor degree in Commerce/ Science from Monash University.
Legal
Simon is a lawyer specialising in superannuation and has more than 14 years’ experience in the financial services industry.
Simon leads the Trustee’s legal team and has a deep knowledge of superannuation law and regulation. He brings a commercial perspective from his varied experience across private practice, in-house and dispute resolution and is focused on assisting the Trustee to achieve its strategic objectives while appropriately managing legal risk. Simon holds degrees in Arts and Law from the ANU and has obtained accreditation as a mediator from LEADR.
Information Technology
Sam joined Diversa in 2022 and has worked in the IT field since 2005 and moved into cyber security from 2015.
Sam has worked in a range of industries from critical infrastructure to various financial services sectors and has experience working with regulators such as PCI SSC, APRA and ASIC.
Sam currently leads the IT and cyber security team within the trustee
which includes management of the information security, information technology, software development and data governance functions and capabilities.
Sam holds a Bachelor of Information Technology from Swinburne University, Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) from ISACA and various Microsoft, ITIL, networking, cyber security and PCI related certifications.
Richard has over 30 years of experience in the superannuation industry, with a strong background in operations and administration. For the past 15 years has focused on Information Technology, working with numerous superannuation and insurance platforms and has been with the Trustee since 2017.
Richard has completed his RG146 in Superannuation.
Ben has been in the IT sector since 2007, with a specialized focus on software development and data management for high-value clients. His extensive experience includes managing complex digital projects and delivering tailored software solutions. Since 2017, Ben has concentrated on superannuation, bringing valuable insights and technical expertise to his role at the Trustee.
A graduate of La Trobe University, Ben combines his deep knowledge in software development and data management with a strategic approach to project execution and client engagement.
Office Administration
Erika has 30 years of administrative experience and joined Diversa in August 2023 in a newly created role for the Trustee, in a part time capacity as Office Manager and Executive Assistant to the CEO. Erika has held various administrative roles from reception, records management, purchasing officer, personal assistant and, for the last 20 years as an executive assistant, all within a Commonwealth Government Organisation.
